Padam Bot — Privacy Policy

Padam Bot ("the app") is a Tamil movie discovery and recommendation service. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

Information we collect

• Account info — when you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and (Google) profile picture.
• Usage data — your in-app search queries, movies you open or preview, and full-movie sessions watched for at least 20 minutes, so we can personalize recommendations.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers, and we do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

How we use it

• To recommend Tamil movies and remember your recent activity and tastes.
• To operate and secure your account.

We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party services

• Google / Apple — sign-in.
• Anthropic — your message text is sent to Anthropic's API to generate Tamil recommendations. It is not used to train models.
• YouTube — trailers and links are served via YouTube; their use is governed by Google's privacy policy.

Data retention & deletion

Your recent searches, clicks/previews, and qualified watches are stored as a rolling history (most recent ~20–40 items) plus a small taste profile. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app (Profile → கணக்கை நீக்கு / Delete account), or by emailing us. Deletion removes your profile, history, and memory immediately.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
